Diversity and Inclusion

We are located in San Jose, the heart of Silicon Valley. "We" - is a music studio, with excellent teachers and fun programs. Music and Art education can not be a luxury, it should be a choice! Luckily, our high-tech families and their companies are willing to donate to the cause and contribute to create equal opportunities.

Education

More and more, music has proven to be an effective tool for childhood brain development. Many studies show that the neuron connections that form with regular practice of an instrument are unmatched compared to other arts activities or sports.

Our Story

While the idea of creating a way to give back to the community circulated for a long time, the concrete conviction that we must do it and try to develop it into something meaningful formed in its final form during the quarantine of 2021. COVID-19 showed us that we don't have to be geographically close to share the experiences and knowledge, but at the same time it became very apparent to us that there are other differences in our communities that aren't easily erased with the help of Zoom.

Our music studio provides individual and group lessons of the highest quality, our teachers hold the highest degrees from the most privileged music schools, and our clientele is Bay Area families, cream of the Silicon Valley crop. Many people that work for high tech companies can afford music education for their children and are happy to support us, knowing our dedication and level of professionalism. But literally on the other side of the fence, the story is completely different.

We are located on the border of neighborhoods, and it breaks our hearts knowing that there are kids that would love to learn an instrument, join an ensemble, or be in a rock band, but their parents can not afford the lessons for them. We always invite our neighbors to all of our events, which are always free! But we also want to have an opportunity to be the bridge between the wealthy and generous to the curious and underprivileged.

Last summer, a boy about 9 years old stepped into the lobby of the studio, literally dragging his mom in. He was curious and courageous, stepping out of his comfort zone and serving as a translator to his mother, who didn't speak English. He wanted guitar lessons. We could have matched him up with a great teacher who'd be attentive and encouraging. But instead we had to tell the tuition price to the little boy, whose face lost the glow immediately and he dragged his mom out of the studio, without even telling her the cost. That was the day when we knew that it needed to be done. We decided to open the channel for those willing to give and for those searching to receive.
